We provide a package of services including monthly financial statements, tax preparation, audit representation, tax planning, payroll processing, and most importantly – advice and consultation. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in payroll desired, but not necessary
  • Associate's degree preferred, but not necessary

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and review payroll data from prescribed sources as prepared by clients.
  • Collect and review payroll data submitted for adding and paying newly hired workers.
  • Enter wage, withholding, and deduction data into payroll software as needed.
  • Contact clients if reported data is not clear or something appears to be incorrect.
  • Process and issue worker paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Process vendor checks and online submissions for garnishments and employee benefits.
  • Review for accuracy and process ACH files for direct deposit, tax, and vendor payments.
  • Ensure all payments to employees, vendors, and tax authorities are accurate and on time.
  • Deliver paychecks, earnings statements, and reports to workers and clients as prescribed.
  • Report all newly hired employees to their corresponding state authorities.
  • Review each invoice created for accuracy and post any billing items needed.
  • File invoices in their corresponding location for review by management.
  • Maintain the shared schedule to accurately show which payrolls need to be processed.
  • Maintain the shared tax filings list to accurately show which tax reports need to be filed.
  • Ensure all payroll tax reports are processed accurately and on time to all tax authorities.
  • Provide payroll reports and tax filings for worker’s compensation and tax audits.
  • Keep management informed about any tax discrepancy letters received for clients.
  • Request abatement of penalties and interest from taxing authorities as needed.
  • Respond to client inquiries as soon as possible and always within 1 business day.
  • Provide information to clients on payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit plans.
  • Keep informed of changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
  • Follow security procedures to protect sensitive information about clients and workers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the owner or manager.
  • Dress and act as a professional.
  • Think of ways to improve office efficiency.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and organized office space.
  • Help to create a positive and fun office environment.
  • Help make the office a smooth-running and positive place to work.
  • Follow security guidelines to protect sensitive client information
